Crochet Twisted Headband (Ear Warmer) Pattern

Yarn over, insert hook from front to back through next stitch, then from back to front through following stitch, yarn over, pull through all loops.

Notes:
- Back Bump – Work into the loop on the back side of beginning foundation chain for a cleaner edge.

Pattern
Notes:
- Ch 1 and turn at the end of each row.
- First stitch of each row is worked into the turning chain space and first stitch to maintain stitch count.
- Stitch count is shown in parentheses at the end of each row.
- Pattern is worked in multiples of 2; adjust the foundation chain by adding or subtracting 2 stitches as needed.
Row 1: Ch 68. Starting in the second ch from hook and working in the back bumps, sc in each ch across. (67)
Row 2: Hdc in each stitch across. (67)
Row 3: Flhdc2 across first stitch, blhdc2 in next stitch. *Flhdc2, blhdc2; repeat from (*) across, ending with flhdc2. (67)
Row 4: Repeat row 3. (67)

Row 5: (Sc, dc) in first stitch. *Skip next stitch, (sc, dc) in next stitch; repeat from (*) across until 2 stitches remain. Skip next stitch, sc in last stitch. (67)
Rows 6-9: Repeat row 5 (67)
Note: (sc, dc) pairs are worked into each sc from the previous row; skip the dc stitches

Fasten off, leaving a 15-inch tail for sewing.
Sewing
- Thread tapestry needle with yarn tail.
- With right side of headband facing up, place your work on a flat surface in front of you horizontally.

- Using your left had grab left side of headband.
- Pinch this end to make a flattened C shape.
- with right hand grab right side of headband.
- Pinch this end to make a backwards flattened C
- Bring the two ends together
- Place the top half of the right side into the middle of the left side making an S shape.

- Flatten the S so that all 4 layers are stacked horizontally.
- Take your tapestry needle and sew all 4 layers together making sure to catch a stitch in each layer. Sew back and fourth across your work.

Finishing
- secure with a few knots and weave in your ends.
- now flip headband right side out and you are finished!! :)
