Smiley Daisy Granny Square Pattern

Materials
- Worsted weight yarn (size 4 medium)
- Colors used: yellow, white, green, black
- 5.5mm (I) Crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle (yarn needle)

Special Stitches
Detailed instructions for the stitches below:
- tr2 cluster - 2 triple crochets worked together in same stitch
Work 2 triple crochets into the same stitch, leaving the last loop of each stitch on the hook. Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on hook to finish.

Work 3 triple crochets into the same stitch, leaving the last loop of each stitch on the hook. Yarn over and pull through all 4 loops on hook to finish.

Pattern
Round 1
Start with yellow
- Create a MC + CH1
- 12DC into MC (12DC)
- SS to top of first DC
Round 2
- CH2
- 2DC into each stitch (24DC)
- SS to top of first DC
- Fasten off yellow

Round 3
Using White
- Attach yarn into any DC (pull up a loop + CH1 + 1SC + CH2 + TR2 Cluster into same stitch)
- Completes first petal
- CH3
- *Skip next stitch, TR3 Cluster in following stitch + CH3
- Repeat from * until you have 12 petals total
- SS to top of first TR2 Cluster
- Fasten off white
Round 4
Using green
- Attach yarn into any CH3 space (pull up a loop + CH1 + 1SC into same space)
- CH2 (counts as first DC) + 1DC + CH2 + 3DC into same space (this is your first corner)
- *Into the following two CH3 spaces work 3DC
- in next CH3 space work 3DC + CH2 + 3DC (corner created)
- Repeat from * until you are back to your first corner
- Work 1DC to finish corner
- SS to top of CH2, SS into top of next DC, SS into the CH2 space

Round 5-6
- CH3 + 1DC + CH2 + 3DC (forms first corner)
- *3DC into each space between 3DC from previous round

3DC + CH2 + 3DC in CH2 space
- Repeat from * until you reach first corner
- 1DC into same corner as beginning stitches

SS to top of beginning CH3 + SS into next DC + SS into CH2 space
- Repeat steps above for round 6
- Fasten off after SS to beginning CH3

Embroidered Smiley Face
Using a small amount of black yarn and tapestry needle embroider the smiley face using the photo below as a guide. Fasten off and weave in ends.
